We had a fabulous time in this most breathe taking home and beautiful views! I wanted to sing the hills are alive with the sound of music every morning when I woke up and looked out the windows. It was so quiet and peaceful. Giovanna was above and beyond a lovely host. Gave you what you needed to see all the sites and when you wanted privacy she made sure to provide that as well. We had the opportunity to eat fresh vegetables off her land and take in the scenery while we were eating and drinking wine. There wasn't anything we needed that she didn't think of for us. I would highly recommend this lovely farm house.

Room Tip: Cader forn was perfect for us but the other was lovely too.

My husband and I stayed in Cascina Bricchetto in October and had the opportunity of sampling the excellent wines of the region as well as enjoying the truffle fair held in Alba during that time. Cascina Bricchetto was, for us, an ideal base for enjoying the region, and Giovanna was a wonderful host, providing advice and information and brochures on the local attractions (of which there are many). Cascina Bricchetto is a lovely villa of multiple dwellings high on a ridge overlooking sweeping hills covered in vineyards. Our unit was very spacious and beautifully equipped with full kitchen and housewares for cooking and even entertaining. It had lovely details in the woodwork and furniture and finishings, and the bathrooms were great. The view from every window was breathtaking, and the setting was very peaceful with nice outdoor areas to enjoy the scenery. A nice feature was a full-length private upstairs balcony great for cocktails and watching the sunset. This is a lovely, remote retreat, and Giovanna is a great hostess to help her visitors get the most from the region. It was a real treat, and we certainly would return.

My husband and our four children are living in Italy for the year. As such, we have travelled all over northern Italy, and stayed in many, many, lovely places. The was the best.

First, the house sits quietly on a green hill, a top a winery, and looks unassuming from the front. Inside, everything is spotless, comfortable, warm, and beautiful. The kitchen is perfectly set-up [and more], with ample room for the six of us. A highchair was graciously provided at no extra cost.

The bedrooms all have stunning views, comfortable beds, pretty sheets, and quality furniture. Bathrooms are spotless and equipt with the essentials.

If you choose to take breakfast -- and I recommend that you do -- you are provided with a variety of local cuisine, all top-quality and delicious. If you are lucky, Giovanna will make a breakfast cake, as she did for us.

The location is wonderful for those looking for an off-the-path place, delicious food, and wine tours. We were there for the Alba truffle festival, and found the city and the festival to be worth a visit .. even with small children.

The kids loved out stay, too: the outside space is set-up perfectly for children, and many toys are provided for us.

Finally, and importantly, Giovanna is reason enough to go and seek out this place. She is warm, lovely, kind and sincere, and the love of her place and the land is felt all around. It is vacation place as much about the feeling you will get from staying there, as it is for the beautiful house and its contents.

Highly recommended. We will return.

This was our second stay at Cascina Bricchetto and we loved it both times.

The setting is idyllic: on the top of a hill, surrounded by vines and with views across the surrounding area (to Neive, Diano d'Alba etc) and on clear days an unbelievable panorama of the Alps from North to South.
It's a little off the beaten track but in return you get to stay in total peace and quiet far from the sound of roads.

The house is really a cut above anything else I've rented. It's a fairly recently converted farmouse with an architect designed interior but keeping the original features (like the red brick arched ceilings). The place was spotlessly clean. There's a huge garden with swings and a sandpit for the children. There are also lots of childrens toys and a paddling pool.

Giovanna was really nice: she gave us a very warm welcome, gave us bottles of wine (some from her own vines), fruit from her garden, homemade jams.. The children loved her - she took them around her garden to pick fruit and veg; taught them bits of Italian and let them hang out in her garden with her dogs.

She arranged visits to local winerys in Barbaresco and Barolo for me. She also gave us various excellent restaurant recommendations.

I couldn't recommend this place more. We'll definitely be going back.

We rented a three bedroom that was beautifully furnished. The views were great with vineyards and fruit trees all around the complex! Cascina Bricchetto tried everything to make our stay as nice a possible by making reservations for lunch and dinner, allowing us to sample excellent wines, and by obtaining some of our favorite wines sampled. The only draw-back is the distance to the nearest town; but if you want peace and quiet, this is the place!

Room Tip: Well furnished and very clean!
