“A haven indeed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

An immaculate, stylish, comfortable, friendly and professional accommodation in a beautiful corner of the world.

As soon as you walk in you are hit with sense of calm and quality. Renée & Hicham have done an outstanding job designing and furnishing this place. It’s a perfect balance of functional and beautiful – of exotic Moroccan motif and modern comfort.

What’s this sound: “Whoosh-meow-whoosh”. It’s me swinging a cat in my room. Our room was large and luxurious. Bathrobes, a balcony, a large TV and DVD player if you want to use their DVD collection, and the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a while. Amazing sheets!!!
The roof terrace is a great place to sit and what a full sunset on the Atlantic, and hear to the call to prayer echo through the town.

The service is as dignified as the surroundings. Renee and her team and very courteous and graceful – but still friendly and welcoming. A lot of the accommodations you find in morocco have a more casual approach. This place has a more sophisticated service style.

There’s not much going on in Tamaragh itself except the surf beaches. But what else do you need?! If you need more than just the beach and a beautiful place to call home, I believe there is plenty else to do within driving distance. But we were totally satisfied where we were for three days. And I would have very happily stayed more.
Tagazout is just up the road, or a 30/45 min walk up the beach. There’s more happening up there in the way of restaurants, shops and crowds of tourists, but that is exactly what makes Riad Dar Haven so nice. You really feel like you are away from it all.

So, if you are going to the Agadir area for a romantic getaway, an adventure with friends, or a [stylish] surf trip the Riad Dar Haven makes a great place to start and end your day (and, potentially the in-between hours too).

Enjoy!

This wonderful hotel is located in a small, quiet village on the coast just far enough outside Agadir to avoid the heavy tourist beaches and shops but close enough to easily reach restaurants and the airport. The hotel is a beautiful Moroccan riad which has all the charm of the old style but which is actually new and very comfortable. The service is excellent - run by an Australian woman and her Moroccan husband. A short walk to a sandy, long beach and surrounded by beautiful hills. My wife and son and I stayed for 6 days. Terrific!

I don't do reviews at all, but I've been far too impressed to sit down and not say anything. This place is new, a real find, which I strongly believe should be embraced before it no longer is a hidden treasure.

Hosts: Renee and her staff were born for top quality service. Always agreeing to accomodate any special requests. They never leave your presence until they are sure they have provided what you require. Always attentive but never ever intrusive, giving you the space you desire to relax and your own privacy.

Room: Beautiful decor, romantic setting and beautiful bathrooms. YOU CAN HEAR THE WAVES CRUSH FROM THE NEARBY BEACH while you sleep.

Communal Area and decor: Beautifully done, peaceful and romantic with a fireplace.

Value for money: Unbelievable for what you pay.

Outcome: We booked 5 nights but ended up staying for a whole week. Would stay longer if I didn't have a flight to catch. Definitely will be raving about this place and returning very soon.

Riad: The most beautiful Riad in Morocco I have stayed at to date. Puts to shame what we get when we spend in hotels in the UK or Australia.

Long story short - you'd be a fool not to spend a few nights here if you are passing through. If you like sun, the beaches, good seafood, excellent service, fantastic hosts, a beautiful riad to sleep in with the sound of crushing waves - and not having to burn a hole in your wallet, DO NOT MISS THIS.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Taroudant room, warm and romantic with dark walls and special lighting. Beautiful b...

Stayed at Riad Dar Haven in December 2012 and it was by far the highlight of my time in Morocco. The riad is beautifully appointed, combining a real level of luxury with the traditional feel of a riad. The service was outstanding and any request was met without a fuss. Dinners by the pool and fireplace included the best food in Morocco and the breakfast breads, fruits, eggs and juices seemed to go on forever. Although a little difficult to get to without a car (taxi's are easy to get and transfers can be arranged through the riad at a low cost), this riad is perfect if you want to enjoy the beach and relax in Morocco.

Room Tip: Stayed in the Merzouga suite - best room in the house

We stayed in the Riad dar Haven for 10 days and absolutely loved it. The staff is lovely, friendly and very helpful and provides an excellent service. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated with attention to details to make your stay even more comfortable. The beds are very comfy, the downstairs area is so beautiful with the gorgeous pool and loungers and the roof terrace is perfect to chill out and read in the sun. We had such a relaxing time and also enjoyed the dinners we had very much. We can only recommend this oasis of peace and relaxation.

Brilliant week at Riad Dar Haven. Best food to be found anywhere. Fantastic hospitality, helpful and really friendly. Beautiful comfortable rooms, huge bath tubs, lovely finish. Great DVD selection! Very quaint peaceful atmosphere in the courtyard where we had breakfast and dinner. The owners will arrange everything you want from car hire to traditional massage. Brand new hotel and there is nothing anywhere as nice for miles around. It's a must-stay location in Tamraght and we're definitely going back.

I stayed for a week at the Riad with my boyfriend in November and absolutely LOVED it. I cannot rate this place enough.
The Riad is really beautiful - v clean, spacious and charming.
We stayed in the Essaouira suit which was lovely. Comfortable bed, lots of space and an amazing bath!
Dinner in the evenings is delicious and service excellent.
Renee and Hicham are FANTASTIC hosts. They really take care of the guests and were extremely kind and helpful. They go out of their way to make your stay as special as possible and were incredibly generous with their time and efforts.
The beached around the area are so beautiful and I would recommend that everyone who visits Morocco should stay there.
It was the best holidays I have ever been on.
