“What a Find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

If you visit Tamraght, a coastal village 15 km from Agadir and the up-and-coming destination for sand, sea, surfing and sunshine, you'll be amazed with the Riad dar Haven when you find it.

This wonderful oasis of a guest house, where no expense has been spared with the most beautiful of Moroccan decoration and furnishing, has amazing food and stylish, friendly service.

We were not staying there, but although it's not normally open to non-residents, the charming Australian owner and her husband allowed us table d'hote dinner on two occasions. Fantastically prepared, sumptuously served by the indoor pool, and very reasonably priced.

I can honestly say that that while I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world, I have never come across better interior decoration and lighting in public areas. It is simply magical. With food to match! We didn't see the rooms, but if the quality is carried through (and I'd be amazed if it is not): what a place for a reasonably-priced romatic stay!

This is an exquisitely furnished guest house with very friendly adn welcoming owners.
Delicious food and a real oasis in the heart of Tamraght - near Agadir.
We didn't stay there this time as we already had accomodation nearby, but we visited for dinner on two occasions and were made extremely welcome. I have no hesitation in recommending this place and will definitely return to stay next time.

Me and my family wanted to be in Agadir.Taghazout area but didnt want an apartment or hotel in Agadir or the smelly Taghazout. So we found in this riad the perfect combination, luxury but hidden in a very morocan town so u get to be in contact with the culture also.
The riad is beautiful , all new construction so everything has been made with great materials and taste. The rooms are sooo espacious, enormous tv and even DVD in the room but if you prefer u can watch a movie in the massive screem by the swimming pool in the main patio while enjoying a tea or a drink. Also the dinners are great option in the riad. The toilets are amazing also, and the bed...Great bed clothes , pure beautiful cotton sheets, great matress!

Also the terrace is great, with showers, hamacs, lots of places to sit down...

And Renée and all the people in the riad are very helpfull and gentle and lovely! We were so sad to leave, honestly, completely recomend this place!!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

When I proposed to my husband and children (15 & 11 years) to spend our holidays in Morocco I must admit they were not very much keen on it. At the time to go back they didn't want to leave.

We spent most of our stay at Riad Dar Haven and this was definitely crucial to change their minds. We've enjoyed very much the beach, surroundings, excursions to different places and activities.... but going back to the riad at the end of the day was simply the best.

It's name couldn't be more appropriate. It's really a haven of tranquility and it has been our particular hideaway. The decoration, comfort, quality of materials... of luxury and the service, food and kindness... remarkable. For sure we'll come back. Thank you Renée, Hicham and Damon for the wonderful stay we've had !!

We decided to stay at Dar Haven after seeing the many good reviews that this place received, and now after staying there I can see why people loved the place, rooms are impeccably clean, decorated with a fine Moroccan taste and contain all what one would need..but what made us love the place are the hosts, on top of being friendly, they did their best to offer us an authentic welcoming experience and they have succeeded at that. The icing on the cake is that this place is a 15 mins drive from Agadir’s city center and 5 to 10 mins drive from some of Agadir’s most beautiful beaches.

My partner and I have just finished travelling around several places in Morocco. We were staying at Surf Maroc in Taghazout for two nights and had three nights unplanned and Riad Dar Haven was highly recommended to us by Callum, a host at Surf Moroc.

Of all the places we travelled, Riad Dar Haven made the biggest impact on our trip and was by far the best place we stayed.

It was just beautiful. The atmosphere, the interior and decor, the ambience, the hospitality, everything was lovely. We stayed in the Essouira suite which was gorgeous, spacious, the air con was brilliant, the bathroom was fantastic (great bath!) and the room in general was great with a nice change to find a TV in the room.

The food was very delicious, so fresh and I especially loved the soup. Renee was lovely enough to do me an extra big bowl as well! Very nice touch when Renee brought the food out of an evening too.

The ladies who served our breakfast were very sweet and we had our some of our clothes washed which came in handy after all our travelling. They have a great selection of films to watch either in the large lounge downstairs on the big screen or up in your room.

Renee and Hisham go above and beyond for their guests. We felt so welcomed and looked after. Can not recommend Riad Dar Haven enough. It was truly charming.

Must do an extra shout out to Eugene. He was such a lovely man, so friendly and cool. He took us to the supermarket one evening and assisted us to the beautiful Paradise Valley on our second day too, as well dropping us off to the bus station when we left. Eugene’s car was spotless, spacious and safe with seat belts (nice change to most vehicles we came across in Morocco!), the air con was great and he was playing some great music we loved!

After some rugged traveling around Morocco in 120 degree heat we decided to head to the beach. We'd never been so just on the basis of a couple of reviews we decided to book a couple of nights at the Riad Dar Haven. We could not have found a better place! The riad itself is a beautiful and tranquil spot and the warmth and hospitality shown to us by Renèe and Hicham made our visit there one we will never forget.
