“Holiday Break Part 2”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

The weather on Sunday 22/9/13 was exceptional, we woke to a warm sunny breeze so decided to have a walk at Lunan Bay, having spent a fortune shopping the day before in Livingston. The beach was stunning with people enjoying the final chance to sunbathe, exercise and barbecue before the on-set of Autumn. Children and dogs alike were paddling in the North Sea and it was a pleasure to spent a couple of hours walking the beach. This location is absolutely beautiful if you get the weather, so if visiting Angus do not overlook it!!

“Hidden Angus Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Search out Lunan Bay, on the coast just south of Montrose, large flat sandy beach with small caves and an elephants head arch. Quiet when we visited, the ruined castle on the mound looking precarious lends to the vibe of the place. At low tide perfect for traction kites and much space...water quality excellent but not supposed to be as safe as some for swimming. Outstanding.

“Lunan bay beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

A little to many dogs without leach for my taste. Otherwise a beautiful beach. Perhaps the best in Scotland, I wouldn't know. Nice beaches are also found across the golf course in Montrose and also further north of Montrose.

“Beautiful beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

A lovely sandy bay over one mile long. Cliffs and caves located at one end and the ruins of a red sandstone castle at the other! Great for walking along or to sit and have a picnic in the sand dunes. Usually nice and quiet too!
