This is the wilder side of Portugal, in a National Park and with several building restrictions, this place is peaceful. After a bit of a clamber down or across to the beach - either way you're going to get a bit wet - you're faced with several miles of beach. It gets more deserted the further you walk, and for a bit of skinny dipping in peace this place is perfect. Oh and the surf isn't bad either.
We stay in a small studio hut just round the corner near O Sitio do Rio restaurant so can walk here everyday. There only one "bar" on the beach, used in its loosest meaning, so pack what you need including shade.
