“Miss it already...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Stayed for a week and it could not have been any better. Flew on the direct Sydney flight and arrived at around 6am. Room was not ready, which wasn't a problem as they looked after our luggage, and we took off to the markets on the bus out the front.
Anyway, lucky enough to get a courtyard pool suite which was heaven. Very private and very big. Happy hour was great, which actually went for 3 hours. Food at both restaurants was fantastic.Location was perfect too.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks goes to Cecilia for being extremely helpful and courteous and Mii for her super fast service at happy hour.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
P.S Have the pancakes for breakfast.

Our stay of just under a week here was perfect. Garden villa room is definitely the way to go, it was perfect. Nice and close to the pool (which was freshwater - so nice!) and the Ocean's restaurant. I was a bit worried about the noise, being so close, but the room was fully double glazed, so when the doors were shut - you were in your own little hut paradise.

Highly recommend visiting Windjammer (which is out the front of the property), it is Italian restaurant but with a great Polynesian flair added. It was great having no kids, as a young couple o holiday, it is the last thing you want to have to deal with (sorry kids!)

The staff were so friendly and by the end of our stay, we really felt like a local! They go out of their way to make your trip enjoyable. We ran out of milk in our room, I phoned front desk and within 2 minutes, there was a friendly, smiling employee at our door with fresh milk! If you need anything, make sure you ask, because they will deliver over and above to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Would stay at Crown Beach Resort again in a heartbeat - loved, loved, loved our stay!

We were exhausted and looking for luxury, quiet and comfort with that island feel. Crown Beach resort delivered. Meals were great. I suffer from a food allergy and the staff were knowledgeable and took care to deliver safe meals. All the staff were friendly, efficient and lovely. Parts of the buildings were looking a wee bit tired but the gardens, amenities and bedding were excellent. This resort is going to be a first choice for us when we return.

I've just come back from a 9 night stay at Crown Beach Resort and had a really relaxing, fantastic time. Originally I had booked a one bedroom villa but after reading comments on tripadvisor decided to upgrade to the courtyard pool suite. And I am so glad I did. I had a look at the one bedroom villas and the more expensive beachfront spa villa. The one bedroom villas are ok, but the courtyard pool suites gave you much more room and privacy in your little courtyard with your own pool. The beachfront spa villas were nice, but for the extra cost involved (& no private courtyard) I don't really see the need. The only plus for the beachfront spa villas is that you get the amazing views of the sunset each night. However, happy hour (3 hrs) is at the beachfront anyway and you can sit and watch the sunset there.
Staff were really good and very helpful - nothing was a problem. Oceans Restaurant served good meals and they have 2 island nights a week Mon and Thurs that is a show and buffet dinner. Out the front Windjammers Restaurant serves amazing Italian food.
There is a shop over the road that sells some basics and also another shop that sells beer and wine. There is also an ATM across the road for easy access to more money.

We stayed for seven nights and it was so good!! The no kids accommodation makes it great for couples celebrating an anniversary etc.

Excellent and friendly front desk. Very helpful and always smiling.

Oceans restaurant and windjammer restaurant. Such good picks to have on this resort.

Having the superette across the road and bus stop was so handy. And if you wanted to book a car or scooter is was so easy.

The theme nights are awesome. We went to both island nights and they are definitely worth going to. The shows are different so it's worth going to both. The show after the magnificent island feast ends the night quite well.

Steak and rib night was to die for. Steaks are cook beautifully and the ribs are so succulent. I'm craving them from just thinking about them.

The turndown service was a cool touch.

We unfortunately did not use the spa which I would have liked to. It looked very nice.

Overall, the Crown Beach Resort is its own little paradise in rarotonga. The perfect place to stay. I don't know why we left. I could have lived there.

Thanks for the great stay!!

Kia Orana,

Thank you for your kind words about your recent stay at Crown Beach Resort & Spa.

We are so pleased to read that you loved all aspects of your stay, from your villa, to our staff located across all departments, to the great cuisine on offer at our restaurants, to the fabulous cultural entertainment at island nights on Mon and Thu (yes - very different shows), to the small shopping centre across the road with a great selection of product & services for our VIP guests.

We wish you both stayed longer. Nevermind, we hope to see you again, soon.

It takes good people to make a good hotel and the staff at this hotel are some of the best. It starts from reception through to the restaurant, bar and the friendly ladies that turn down the beds and light the candles. Great sunsets and good Snorkeling off the beach. Very good food choices at both restaurants and the cultural show would be the best outside of Te Vara Nui. I like this location better that Muri, great to visit there but always windy in Muri. Will be back definitely.

This was the best holiday in Rarotonga. The hotel was beautiful, food great and our room was perfect. The hotel extended our stay at no cost when we our flights were delayed by a day - we were so impressed. We have beach villa 1 and it was so private we loved it. Our daughter was in villa 23 with their own pool, also very private. We will be back most definitely. Thank you to all the staff.
