“Amazing Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

Spent 8 nights at this wonderful intimate resort. Beautiful private quiet rooms. Had a garden room with outdoor shower which was amazing. Great for couples. Rooms serviced everyday if you wanted and all staff amazing and friendly. Managers Alex and Loren very approachable and can help out with anything required in the way of tours etc.. .Restaurant and bar staff lovely and nothing a problem. Amazing cocktails by the pool. Food brilliant and breakfast included was lovely, awesome pancakes.Snorkelling out the front of the resort great. An amazing place for some an R and R. We hope to return next year.

Room Tip: Garden rooms give more privacy.

I had the opportunity to spend a full day & night at this understated paradise.

The attention to detail from the owners, from quality linen, minimalist classic rooms, soothing colours, the liberating outdoor shower & easy drinking wine, champagne & cocktail glasses all add to blissful holiday experience. Add to that the attentive & genuinely content & happy team, the infinity pool & a superb spot the sensational Raro sunsets, for me this property rates extremely highly.

I highly recommend Manuia Beach resort whether you are travelling solo or couples...I'll certainly be back..thank-you Richard, Karen & team Manuia!

Room Tip: All new rooms are very well appointed, for me though I simply adore the beachfront rooms

We have just come back from a week stay at manuia beach resort, and it definitely lives up to previous reviews. New modern and large rooms with private deck. Friendly staff, stunning sunsets and well maintained grounds. Managers go out of their way to help and are very accommodating. We had a garden room and loved it! Not far to hang out beachfront sipping cocktails on the loungers. Great location closish to Avarua and worthy numerous eating places near by. scooter and car hire across road very handy. Will definaty come back!!! We miss raro!

Just returned from 5 nights in the Cook Islands, staying at the Manuia Beach Resort and would highly recommend the resort for its service, location, size and comfort. As a couple on their honeymoon looking for a good mix of activity and relaxation this small boutique resort for over 16's was perfect. Staff couldn't have been more friendly or willing to help. Loved the room including the outdoor shower. Hosts Alex and Loren are absolute gems!!

Room Tip: Beachfront rooms 1-6 have great views and accessability to facilities. Beachfront 1&2 are quiet...

If you are looking for the most beautiful setting to leave your cares behind, this is the place. My husband and I just spent the most amazing week at this resort. It's just the right size, is totally relaxing, has the most friendliest staff and is a true tropical paradise. It's over 16's only so is really peaceful and the grounds are beautiful. Sand everywhere (no need for shoes), plenty of sun loungers, hammocks, bean beds, a day bed and the infinity pool. 2 days will feel like a week if you're lounging around but plenty to do on the Island with the help of Alex and Loren, the Resort Managers who make you feel like you've known them forever and that you are staying with them in their home. Get to know Kura who is meant to be the Restaurant Supervisor but is everywhere, involved in everything! I can't rate this resort enough, it has to be seen to be believed. We will definitely be back. Oh, and go to the Island Night, it's well worth the money!

This place is beautiful-the perfect place for a quiet romantic escape-great value for money, beautiful rooms, and Alex and Loren bent over backwards to make us feel welcome-it was perfect. I preferred the restaurants at the resorts either side for dinner, but it was fine for lunch and the included breakfast was great-especially loved the pancakes!

My partner John & I have just returned from a 7 night stay at Manuia. It was our first visit to Raro, so we didn't know where to stay or what to do. Manuia arranged all airport transfers for us (prompt & painless each time) and upon our arrival we were even offered an upgrade to a beachfront room. Alex showed us to the room personally and gave us a thorough run-down of the resort's facilities & local attractions. He left us with a map of the island & plenty of brochures to read. Throughout our stay it was evident that Alex, and wife Loren, have a very hands-on approach to management. They are continually popping in to the restaurant, or wandering past the pool area simply to say hi to the staff & guests and make sure everyone's happy. We got the impression that nothing was too much trouble, and that really had a positive impact on our overall holiday experience. Staff at Manuia are great also, very friendly and cheerful. The only thing I think could use some improvement is the menu at the restaurant - all fine if you're a meat eater, not so easy if you're vegetarian. There are still plenty of other options for food on the island, however, so no big deal. Would definitely recommend Manuia to anyone looking for accommodation in Rarotonga. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Beachfront rooms are beautiful. Lots of space, well thought out. Being too near the resort's res...
