“Large modern hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

We stayed here 2 nights, lovely hotel. Have to have a car - not close to xport. Pero is a suburb of Milan. Not walkable. The room was nicely equipped, with updated furnishings. Excellent breakfast buffet. We stayed without our lost luggage, but we still enjoyed our time.

This is a decent hotel for business at the Expo Fiera, but it is isolated in a gritty area of Pero, a suburb of Milan. Cabs are Very expensive and there was never one parked in front of the hotel when we needed one. This necessitated having the hotel call one and waiting for it to arrive. The cabs in Milan START THEIR METERS AS SOON AS THEY START FOR YOUR HOTEL! This really inflates an already high cost. The Metro is not far but requires the hotel shuttle to drop you off and pick you up. The room was large, but the floors were marble without any carpet. The buffet breakfast was good and the desk people were helpful.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

This 4-star property is correctly rated - clean and spacious rooms with an excellent staff from the front desk to the bar. What is perplexing is the location - incongruously sited in an industrial area at the edge of a small town outside of Milan.

Although served by two Metro stations (The M1 Pero station is ten minutes or less by foot; the Molino Dorino station accessible by a free hotel shuttle) there is absolutely nothing in the neighborhood to offer hotel guests for entertainment or enrichment.

The quality of the bar was very good; the waiters very attentive and helpful. The food quality in the hotel restaurant was excellent but the service a bit quirky and subject to a mysterious hierarchy know only to the wait staff - sometimes causing some entertaining delays and less comical overcharges to the dinner bill.

Breakfast, included in the cost of our room, was good in every respect. Custom coffee orders were easily obtained. Curiously the central coffee station is located in a single corner of the breakfast room - which but for the size of the room or our appetite for coffee wouldn't normally be a problem. The breakfast service could be improved with the installation of one or more self-serve coffee stations or relocation of the single coffee service to the center of the room.

The rooms were adequate in size; the suites off the elevators are very spacious and include a lavish balcony furnished with functional outdoor furniture. This permits additional space to entertain, work or relax outdoors.

Marble surfaces in the corridors transmit sound into the room which can be annoying to light sleepers. Furnishings were modern and well-maintained.

Shuttle service to the Expo Center was timely. Frequent trains into Milan made the location tolerable. Use of the free shuttle to the Molino Dorino station will save One Euro as this station is inside the urban zone.

I would recommend this otherwise excellent hotel only if you were visiting the Expo Center for a day or two or don't mind a daily commute into the city of Milan.

Hotel facilties and rooms are excellent. However breakfast service was really poor. At 8am most of trays had not been replenished and the choice was ver limited. Pot coffee quality was bad (I realized after that espresso could be ordered to the waiters).

I was in Milan to attend a Pediatric Conference was with group of Pediatricians. Overall experience good. Comfortable, good dinnig but should have halal food as it is far away from city, nothing near by to walk and see or just scroll for snacks and drinks.Located in remote area, although has a good prompt shuttle service to nearby metro but is tiring. always find a hotel with some life around.
Excellent WiFi free only for few hours, otherwise rates are expensive.

Room Tip: Nothing much

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a good experience. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. Service is faster and sustainable. Staffs are gentle and helping minded. Major setback is the location however shuttle transfer is available from the hotel. Rooms amenities are ok. Breakfast is ok.
