We stayed on Rancho Wendy only for three days (two nights) and I wished we haven't rush to Santo Domingo. I recommend you to stay here for few days more, eat the food (meals that they offer and cook for you are really tasteful) and go on tours. We went on Killer trail that was one of the best hiking experiences for me, because we met local farmers; saw different plants and fruit trees. Tour guide Genaro is the best, helpful, funny and eager to learn language you speak. He is not like us European hikers, he hikes in flip-flops :). All on Rancho Wendy are really nice and I have to say it again food is really good. Don’t expect Italian tiles and silk sheets, it’s a hostel, not a five star hotel. Los Quemados is a town where you can find peace and quiet and enjoy in nature. I definitely recommend you to visit Rancho Wendy if you are in Dominican Republic and ready for adventure. Well if you want to rest there is a hammock in the backyard.
