We had a great time whitewater rafting the Nantahala with Paddle In. Our guide, Brandon, made it so fun! He taught us to spin through the rapids and off of rocks. I didn't think I would like that, but it made this relatively tame river lots of fun.
We enjoyed it so much, that we rented Funyaks (duckies) to go down as a family a couple days later. Paddle In dropped us off, we finally got ready to push off ( we had friends with us with kayaks and it took us a while to get them suited up), and then we discovered my husband's raft was emptying its air!!! We found a phone, called Paddle Inn, and it was almost an hour before they brought us another raft- when they brought another group down to the river- not cool! We would have pursued a discount, but we were late getting in that afternoon due to trouble getting those recreational kayaks downstream without capsizing... But that's a story for another day. So- we figured we were even- we were the last bunch coming in that afternoon at almost 6 pm.
