We arrived without a booking, at 7-30pm, tired and hungry! We struck gold. The room we were given (room 208) was very quiet, with a huge comfy bed. Beautifully clean bathroom, with everything we could wish for. The actual bedroom maybe needed a little attention in the decoration area, when one looked closely, but it was not important, and did not deter us from having a really good night's sleep. The swimming pool which we looked towards, outside in the grounds, was green and sad-looking, along with the chairs and table etc on our little balcony - just everything generally a bit tired looking. But really good for value for money - we paid €78 incluing a fairly basic continental style breakfast, which was perfectly adequate. The staff were lovely, and the hotel itself is spotless. We walked into the town as we wanted to stretch our legs, and had tapas and wine in a little bar in the square. We are going back to the hotel at the end of the month, and will eat in the restaurant this time, as it looked very good. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We drove in from the motorway - easy to find, and good parking within the grounds - the surroundings are not special and somehow the hotel being on the edge of the town looks slightly misplaced, which made it even more of a pleasant surprise!More
