“Good Beach Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Enjoyed eating here on November 30. The seafood and gumbo was excellent. Our waiter Lancelot was very cool. The restaurant is on Pensacola Beach and perfect for friends visiting from out of town. Dress is very casual and atmoshere is very relaxing. Would suggest having your picture taken by Peg Leg Pete himself standing at the front of the restaurant.

“Not too bad but not over the top either”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Lady & I in Pensacola Beach for a few days over Thanksgiving. Read rave reviews of PLP's so thought we would give it a try. Originally told we would have an hour's wait but we wandered downstairs in to the bar area and found three friendly Navy types who let us share their picnic table. So about a five minute wait in the end. Definitely a noisy bar atmosphere but with families as well. Tables sticky but not unbearable. Beer was cold. Oysters were great - $7.95/dozen - and most of them were large as would expect from the Gulf. My lady had the peel & eat shrimp while I had the shrimp and snow crab combo. The food was okay - not fantastic - but okay. Oysters were reasonably priced and the rest was about what you would expect to pay. So, again, not great value but okay. The music was good, the staff were friendly, food was reasonable. I wouldn't have wanted to wait two hours for it but five minutes was okay. Apparently sitting upstairs would be a little nicer with a slightly larger menu - but no music. So, if you want somewhere to chill, listen to music, have a few beers and some oysters - then it's not a bad spot. But a two hour wait worth? No.

“Tourists and locals agree”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Peg Leg's is a favorite of locals and tourists. Menu items are varied. The steamed oysters with garlic butter were delicious. Gumbo was good. Also had the grouper basket. French fries and fried pieces of grouper were great. Service was excellent. While waiting for the food to arrive, the eclectic decor will keep your attention. Seating is indoors or outdoors. Small store with t-shirts and a few other sourvenirs of your visit.

“Great Spot for Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

The seafood we ordered was tasty, the atmosphere fun, and the service excellent. It was appropriate for families, couples, and the usual beach crowd.

“Good food, hope to visit again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

This place was recommended by our hotel. Good experience; food was very good, our server was nice and efficient. We had a choice of inside or outside dining. Chose outside and were able to listen to the music from the bar that's downstairs, very enjoyable and laid back. We both had seafood dishes that were yum. Try anything with the cajun or white sauce, we were pleased with both.
