“We LOVED it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Our stay at Margaritaville Beach hotel went beyond our expectations! It was just the best! We want to go back every year and make it a tradition. Freddie the transportation guy is the best! All of the staff at the front desk are fabulous and make it very personal and family oriented.

The rooms were wonderful and our view was fabulous. We chose the bay view because we didn't expect to spend much time in our room. However, it was just beautiful.

I can't say enough about how great this place is!! TRY IT!

Room Tip: Any room is great!

We stayed here for four nights with our two girls, ages 11 and 8. We had a gulf view room, which was beautiful. The floors are not carpeted, I assume to make it easier to clean up sand, but it was no problem to wear our flip flops in the room. The room was very spacious and the beds and pillows comfortable. The walk-in shower was also large, which helped when trying to clean up two kids at the same time. The balcony offered a gorgeous view of the beach, Gulf and the pier. We dried our beach blanket and seashells on the balcony, too. Two free bottles of water per day and in-room fridge were appreciated. Note that you can't keep the balcony door open at night or the AC automatically turns off. The door is heavy and you can't hear the water when it's closed. The toiletries smell fantastic. I normally don't take hotel toiletries but I took these because they remind me of the beach. We loved the beach, which was a very short walk from the hotel. The sand is soft and there were plenty of seashells to collect. There's a sandbar that goes fairly far out so my kids were able to swim out at least 100 feet out into the water because it was only 2-4 feet high most of the way. You do have to rent beach chairs but we just used our beach blanket. We did rent a beach umbrella once and it was $15 for the whole day. We noticed that people were taking pool towels down to the beach. At night the kids liked to swim in the hotel pool. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times for breakfast and dinner. Good food but the service could be a little slow. We also ate at the Landshark Bar and liked it. Nice option for lunch if you don't want to leave the beach. We didn't have time to participate in the hotel activities but we there were many options. Only complaint is that the fitness room needs updating. There's only one elliptical machine and it doesn't have a tv screen. The machines don't even face the one tv screen in the room but looks out onto the parking ramp entrance. We didn't do valet parking. Self-parking was free and easy to do even with all our luggage. The Pensacola Beach area was easy to drive around. We wish we could've stayed longer!

Thought this would be a "cheesy" hotel given the name, but it turned out to be very nice. Loved the free parking in the garage (or you could valet for $12/day). The hotel is right on the beach and on the west side of the pier without so many tourists (which is precisely why we selected this property over the other nearby hotels). You can bring your own beach chairs or rent nice ones (with an umbrella) for a reasonable fee. I believe we paid $15 total for a few hours, which was well worth the comfort. The decor and furniture of the lobby, restaurant, and sleeping rooms was very tasteful. The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had a fantastic shower. Generous amenities, too. We enjoyed the balcony from our gulf-front room. Like another reviewer, I was surprised to hear so much talk from the adjoining room....but thankfully the talking was masked when the A/C kicked on and thankfully it was just a family with children (so no late-night noise). Enjoyed dining in the hotel restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Very reasonable prices, particularly not having to wait and/or fight the tourists at the nearby dining establishments. Try the two shrimp appetizers....can't think of the name, but one came with fried green tomatoes and blackened shrimp. Yum! Plus, it's hard to beat the view of the gulf just outside the restaurant. The zero-entry pool wasn't huge, but it seemed fine given the crowd (we were there July 20-21). Reminded me of a cruise ship with the plexiglass "walls" so you could look at the gulf from one side and the bay from the other. Pool temp was just right since it's not very deep....who wants a warm pool in the middle of the hot summer anyway? With the exception of the talk from the adjoining room, I have nothing bad to say about the hotel. If coming for a few nights (vs. an entire week when I would probably rent a condo and make my own meals), I would certainly stay here again! (I believe it was also cheaper than other nearby hotels, which boggles my mind since it is so much nicer in terms of location and amenities.)

Room Tip: Select a gulf front room....though the rooms facing the bay also have a nice view. Would probably a...

This hotel is beautiful and very nice. Short walk to beach. Walk in shower is awesome. Large size 2oz bath amenities, free water in room along with 2 free beer coupons. Bed is comfy but air conditioner a bit noisy. The rooms are not sound proof. You can hear a casual conversation in the hallway. Do not get a room by the ice machine or you will hear constant noise. Considering the price of the hotel I was very disappointed in the pool. It was medium size and not kept real clean. It was also freezing in July. Service sy the restaurant for lunch was good and prices were about like anywhere else in the island. Trolley stops right in front. Free internet and parking.

We stayed here three years for the Blue Angels show and were extremely satisfied each year. The rooms are bigger and the ambiance is perfect for the beach. The staff is always courteous and friendly. We absolutely LOVE it!

I stayed here with my two children as part of a 3 day road trip and may I say, I've never been so happy to see the beach or this gorgeous pool! Parking was a bit tricky, I had to opt for my luggage to be taken up to my room by a (very nice) porter because I had so much stuff from this trip and I didn't know if there would be a rolling cart in the below-deck parking garage. (There were)

The room was amazing! Even a sound-view (cheaper) room which did not face the ocean was gorgeous. No carpeting. Huge mural of the beach on the wall. Comfy (albeit squeaky) beds. Huge walk in shower. Best: toiletries provided by the hotel were LARGE size (5oz?) and there were two sets!

There was a large tin bucket in the room with vouchers for a free beer at the bar and a letter from Jimmy Buffet describing his inspiration for the song and the hotel. Bucket came with us to the beach, along with striped towels which we grabbed from the pool area first.

Ate dinner poolside with an order from the Tiki Bar. So much fun! There was a surfboard table and lots of beach chairs and shade. Pool was amazing and huge.

Only dislike: no breakfast included in my package. Had to pay for it and sit in the (very nice) restaurant.

Can't wait to come again!

Awesome stay at Margaritaville. Great location, very little traffic. Restaurants and shopping within a 5 minute drive or ride the trolley and leave the driving to someone else. Staff were exceptional, customer service focused.

Room Tip: Must try the tiki bar
