I am a local and a boat owner, so I don't have to hang out at the beach. There is very little parking unless you go to a National park. The parks are well maintained and they have bathrooms, picnic tables, boardwalks to the beach, and showers. There is a small charge to enter, but it puts you very close to the white sands of Destin.
