“Life busy temple, not just another tourist area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

This is a real well visited temple in Taipei. You can see hundreds of local citizen paying visits to this temple everyday. Good to have someone who can explain some basic rules, histories of the gods etc in order for a foreigner to appreciate the background.

“Stunningly beaitiful temple”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Visited the temple at the peak hour of weekly congregation. One of the most serene and humble feeling. Peaceful people worshiping Buddha with so much humility and love

“Very big temple”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

This temple is very accessible by mrt. Very big temple and very crowded. It is a nice place to visitand take in the culture. There were many students there when we went, who sat down along the corridors to paint, part of a school event.

Outside the temple is a bustling market street. Do take a stroll and experience what their local market is like.

In one of the small dark alleys lies a famous pepper bun shop. Many locals buy in quantities of 10 to 20 buns that costs NT45 each. The bun is quite tasty, but I find the crust a little too thick

“Interesting religious attraction”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

This temple is situated an easy short walk from Lungshan mrt station. Nearby attractions include the night market, mrt station mall, and a building full of local eateries. There is little English to be seen at this temple, however photo opportunities are plenty, for example the waterfal at the entrance. You can also ask the gods questions and there are some volunteers who are very willing to help you interpret the answer you get, as we'll as unselfishly share their expertise and experience with you. Truly worth a visit if you want to take photos or if you want to pray or worship.
