My wife and I were in The Woodlands, TX for a weekend getaway and saw Babin's website. Looked interesting so we gave it a shot, and we weren't disappointed. It's right off Interstate 45 (visible from the street) just North of the shopping mall. They have loads of fresh fish prepared in an open kitchen and available with any combination of stuffing or sauces you want. The decor was a fun, rustic take on Southern Louisiana themes perfect for the Cajun/Creole menu they offer. I had the Amberjack with Pontchartrain sauce and it was great - nice smoky flavor in the roux. The waitstaff was immaculately attentive, pleasant, and helpful and a personal visit from the manager during the meal was a nice touch. We found out it is owned by the Landry's family of restaurants which is very well known throughout the Houston area for quality establishments.
