Last year my family stayed at Silver City and had a challenging experience (see Silver City Is Falling Apart for August 2012). To the credit of the owner, Philip, they reached out to us and offered to make amends for our bad experience. We were not able to take advantage of their offer until this year and my wife and her sister visited again. This time everything was great! They stayed in one of the Chalets and had the royal treatment the whole time they were there. There is a guy named Bruno who was particularly helpful and hard working and he checked in on my family regularly to be sure everything was OK. The owner Philip did the right ting by trying to make it up to us and I am happy to say that the bad experience we had last year was a one time mishap. The area is beautiful, the cabins are great (but rustic as advertised) and there is a lot of wildlife just outside the door. Today my wife was thrilled to see a bear in the woods near the cabins.
Thank you for taking the high road Philip and I hope Silver City will be successful for many years to come. We will certainly return again as we have for over 25 years.
