“Museum OK, but don't miss Beetle Rock”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2014

Beetle Rock is a few hundred yards off the parking lot across the street from the museum. It's a granite dome with 270-degree spectacular views of the surrounding valley and distant mountains. Don't miss this 5 minute walk from the museum.

“Very helpful and informative”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2014

The rangers at the Giant Forest Museum were very helping in planning nearby hikes. They were always pleasant to talk to and eager to lend a hand. If they did not know an answer they would find someone who did. Online searching is a great way to prepare prior to arriving but I would definitely recommend stopping to chat with a ranger just to verify your plans. They can provide the most up-to-date information and may also suggest alternatives that you did not consider. I really appreciate all of their help!

“Small museum with good information”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2014

This small museum is great for information about the trees in the area. There are rangers inside which can help with planned hikes and general information. Also, has nearby restrooms and plenty of parking (during off season).
