“Not bad, a bit slow, great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Food was well prepared, service and staffing not the best. But for the hotel and being in the park, overall very acceptable. Chicken, trout, and scallop entrees were all delicious. The wait was a bit long so with a little faster service, 4 stars.

“Quantity over quality”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We stayed in the lodge for three days in September, and had dinner at the Peaks restaurant as there are no real alternatives in the area. The dining room has a nice view, as to the food it turned out to be a culinary low: the bean soup was incredibly greasy (as was the pasta) and completely tasteless, and the vegetarian burger mainly consisted of tasteless beans. Most of the food was returned to the kitchen and we politely informed the waitress of the reason, but got no reaction at all. We would certainly not recommend this place!

“Excellent restaurant, fabulous location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Dinners were wonderful, good menu, quality preparation with lots of options. We ate there five nights and highly recommend it. Best to get reservations well in advance or the wait times can be extensive as a walk-in and there are precious few quality options in the area.

“Nice Decor and Relaxing Environment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

The restaurant and lodge are a welcome retreat after hiking and seeing the sights, my wife and I were here late in the season so the crowds were not a problem. I had the fish and chips and my wife had a salad, both were tasty and nicely presented. Plus, our waiter was very attentive and helpful in advising which trails and sights to visit during our afternoon. We both would recommend this restaurant.

“Elegant rustic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

We ate lunch here and were seated by a window. The view just outside was pretty in an over groomed way. Wuksachi is a half mile of off the Generals Hwy and obviously the owners/developers had to "scrape away" the whole area before they could build the lodge and restaurant. Sadly, you feel like you are far away from the sequoias. Also, there is no outdoor patio and the restaurant windows don't open -- what a shame -- it was absolutely gorgeous outside.

We ordered the grass fed burger (excellent) and the salmon burger. The salmon burger was almost inedible due to the fact that it was charred and dry. I wish the menu would have stated that it was char broiled. I didn't send it back due to time restraints.. ...but I would have loved to have ordered something else.

Definitely the place to dine if you want something a little upscale while in this area.
