After reading the reviews, I was a bit hesitant to stay here and pay as much money as we did. But this ended up being one of the nicest hotels in which we have stayed in a national park. It was in a great location in the midst of the trees. The room (ours was a king with a couch) was very pleasant. The hotel had porches with rocking chairs. I came out at about 6 A.M. while my husband was sleeping and enjoyed watching the deer stroll by. We didn't hear our neighbors (as others had)--maybe they were just quite people...but the sound was fine. The only negative was that the price was high (but lower than the Wukhashi lodge and I much preferred the John Muir).
