“Walk inside a fallen trunk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

After seeing Sherman, Grant was about the same in a little smaller. Surrounded by barriers like the other one. But the walk is easier, and the sequoia forest magnificent. It is nearly magical. One of the fallen tree can be used along the hike to get to the upper path. So big you hardly have to bend your back. No crawling for sure.
Good family fun.

“Easy 1/3 mile walk up and around the General Grant Grove”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

There are a few cool things to see here. One is the Fallen Monarch, a fallen Sequoia that you can walk through and read about. There's also a very old cabin that was built in the grove. The prime feature is the General Grant Giant Sequoia tree, that is now the 2nd largest tree in the world. Close drive to the Grant Grove village, it's about a mile to walk to/from Grant Grove village.

“The largest tree in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Take the shuttle from the Giant museum center. This is a very easy walk and worth your time to see. We spent an jour just enjoying the view and the area.

“Lots of visitors”

Lots of visitors to most famous tree. Enjoyed seeing the tree, but overall, park was amazing, and I would love to visit again.

“Short touristy trail but worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

This is not really a trail, it is more a roundabout - all focussed around the big General Grant tree - definitely worth it to get a good feel of the enormity of the sequoia trees - many interesting facts to learn, and also some fallen trees to explore. All in all great to do with kids, but I would recommend to then do a proper trail in the park - more peace and quiet and more sequoias, but then without the crowds.
