“Scared of heights...try this! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2015 NEW

Conquer your fear of heights!

This is coming from someone who is terrified of heights, has asthma, and is not in the best shape. Trust me, if I can make it to the top, anyone can do it.

Although it took me longer than most people, this is definitely a short and doable hike. There are hand rails for most of the hike but there are also some exposed areas with just rocks used as barricades. Some areas can get narrow when there are lots of people passing by. You can stop at certain areas, rest, and continue. Just take your time...let others pass if they're in a hurry.

We went in October and the weather was hot. Great cardio workout! You'll break a sweat because it's mostly stairs but just bring a light jacket if it gets windy. Also, bring a hydration backpack, sunblock, and your camera. This was one of my favorite hikes in Sequoia.

“What a view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2015 NEW

Quiet a climb to the top but worth every step the views of the park are amazing and the work that's gone into building the stairway is fantastic

“Definitely Worth the Climb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2015 NEW

It is over 350 steps to the top of Moro Rock from the parking lot. It is well worth the climb, as the view from the top is drop dead gorgeous! Caution is required as some of the steps are uneven, but they have done an excellent job of making the journey as safe as possible. If you are physically able to make this somewhat strenuous climb, we highly recommend it for the breathtaking views.

“Steep climb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2015 NEW

The climb looks daunting, and we didn't make it all the way to the top, but it was worth the climb to see the view.

“A good climb with spectacular view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2015 NEW

It's not too far up, just a few hundred steps with plenty of places to stop and rest, if you need it. Getting to the top is worth the hike though, you can see forever.
