“Take your time and enjoy the drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

If you are going anywhere in Sequoia or Kings Canyon, you'll be using this road, but it's worth making the whole drive to get from one park to the other (ie Grant Grove to Sherman Tree/Museum area). Take your camera and take your time and stop as many times as you want. There are some impressive views. Keep an eye out for animals, we saw a black bear crossing the road.

“A gorgeous drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

The highway travels between the parks and gives you a great opportunity to enjoy the ancient giants from your own vehicle. There are opportunities to pull off the road and get pictures with the trees and further explore.

“Very nice drive.”

Drive that connects the two main Sequoia groves, Grant in the north and Sherman in the South. We saw a bear along the road so it gets high marks from us!!

“the main drive through the park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

You cant really avoid it. It's the main road through the park. Very twisty with beautiful scenery.

Remember to move over if you drive slow, rangers will pull you over if you don't. I saw it happen several times when people were driving too slow and causing congestion. It's ok if you like to drive slower but just be considerate of people who don't.
