Its not luxury accomodation, but its more than adequate and the fantastic surroundings more than make up for any let down with the cabin. Bed was nice and the park was nice and quiet at night, we had a cabin with its own shower and toilet, I believe that to be worth the extra money, rather than dealing with the communal shower block. Dinner at the only restaurant is passable, park staff were wonderfully helpful. Well worth the trip.

When you book you know what you are getting so no surprises on arrival, it is a wooden box, sorry, cabin. Very clean cabin, not much lighting but lots of electric sockets. Bought ice in the store and filled up a waste disposal for a fridge, who says camping isn't fun! Bed was very comfortable.
I have two issues really, firstly, the shower block for over 100 people has 3 showers, 2 urinals and one toilet cubicle in the mens, absolutely ridiculous. And secondly, the food and the prices in the only restaurant are a bit poor, could be so much better.
The consolation is the amazing scenery, the friendly staff and the sky at night, wonderful.

Stayed here on our way from La to Yosemite. Clean, comfortable and enough room for 4 people for a short stay. Very quiet, plenty of wildlife about..didn't see any bears though much to kids delight. Only stayed for one night could easily have stayed longer.
Worth having the bath house with private bathroom instead of having to use communal showers etc...only one restaurant on site where we had breakfast which was average price and quality.

We chose to stay at Grant's Grove after a 3 day 34 mile backpack looking forward sleeping in a bed after an amazing but grueling trip. The cabins were very basic but nice enough. Pay showers (our least favorite thing here) and bathroom facilities were in a separate building. We enjoyed our stay. It's probably a good choice for familys not into the hassle of camping with lots of children. It's definitely not 5 star but if you visiting a national park your stay should be about nature and for that experience this would be about as fancy as we'd get.
