“Easy hike to a pretty waterfall.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2011

This waterfall is interesting because it has three separate chutes, sort of different than the typical waterfall, and there is a bridge at the end that goes over it so you get a good view of it.

“Worth the hike but take the short version”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2011

I agree with all the other comments. This is definitely work the hike. One note of caution, the day hiking guide lists the longer hike as 5.2 miles from the Sol Duc Springs Resort to the falls (round trip). The loop is worthwhile but it's actually closer to 6.2 miles. For some people that difference is significant. Also, wear some good boots. Even though it is listed as a Level 1 hike, the tree roots and rocks are hard on sandals and gym shoes.

“Easy Hike Worth the Drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

From Hwy 101 it's about 12 miles or 30 minutes up to where the road ends. During the drive up (and back) there were two road construction delays which added another 5+ minutes each way. After you arrive and park your vehicle, allow at least another 20-30 minutes to hike the short 0.8 mile trail to the falls. Taking photos of the falls from all angles is nice, but I recommend shooting videos of the water flow. It shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes to enjoy the falls but definately worth a visit.

“Don't Miss! And go past the first falls”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2011

This is just an amazing experience. The trail is beautiful and once you see the first falls from the bridge - please go ahead a little distance more to the actual falls ! Those are amazing. We met a few people on the trail who gave us this tip and we are so glad - wanted to pass this on, as many people hiking with us were heading back after they saw the first falls. Look at some photos of Sol Duc Falls so you know what to expect !
