I would recommend this campground to any campers who can get up the rugged road to it! The road is very narrow and step, but my girlfriend's little hyndai accent was able to make it up and back down safely.
The views at the top were incredible, especially at night and early morning. Plus this puts you very near the top of a mountain. You can hike the rest of the way or even drive to within 1 mile of the top, great for those who can't hike long distances.
And it's called Deer Park for a reason. A mom and two little ones, they walked right thru our campsite multiple times, even with people out and about. Then they came back at night and that did startle me a bit but it was totally worth it!
Maybe not the best choice if you have very young kids (pit toliets, no electricity, might not even be running water) but I would highly recommend for anyone else.
