“Gorgeous”

The short hike down to the beach is well worth it. Smooth sands, seagulls, driftwood everywhere. We will surely return.

“Beautiful beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

Worth getting out of car and walking along the beach. Views are fantastic. Sea stacks are fun to explore. There very interesting pools with starfish, etc.

“Breathtaking!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Ruby beach is absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking! I would recommend knowing the tide so you can cross the creek and get to explore more. Definitely worth a stop!

“Stop! Get out! And explore!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

We visited Ruby Beach yesterday with our 3 year old grandson. On the drive up from Aberdeen we encountered lots of rain, but as we pulled into the parking lot the rain stopped. We pulled on extra socks, thermals, and our rain boots. Then we added our coats and rain gear. Everyone was toasty warm during the 2 hours we explored the beach. The walk down to the beach was not slippery even though it had rained recently. Our grandson's first view of the beach and the haystacks was "Ohhh!". We arrived about an hour before low tide, so we had a fantastic stretch of beach to explore. My husband and grandson skipped rocks in the stream near Abby Island. We watched the sea gulls that had gathered on a sand bar. We climbed on the exposed rocks and explored the sea caves. We looked at long strands of kelp that had to be over 6 feet long and we each located a favorite rock off of the rocky beach. On our way back we climbed over huge logs along the banks of the stream that amazed our grandson. Ruby Beach is a beautiful breathtaking site that is worth exploring even during the winter.
We were amazed by how many cars were in the parking lot. We brought a picnic lunch but decided to stop at one of the restaurants between the beach and Lake Quinault. Surprisingly a lot of places were open during the last Friday of 2013.

“Absolutely beautiful and full of life!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

While my visit to Ruby Beach included clouds and rain in December, I still enjoyed every moment. The sea life is everywhere from birds to ochre starfish and anemenoes visible on the rocks. The drift wood and tide pools give the beach additional points of interest, not to mention the black sand and the gorgeous ocean! You will not be disappointed.
