This was a bit pricey for our pocketbook but it was definetly worth every penny. The lodge is tucked away just a couple miles outside the National Park, in the national forest. We stayed in a 1st floor corner apartment. It was immaculately clean. The facility is well cared for and the staff was so friendly and helpful. This one bedroom guest apartment was complete with a full kitchen. As you walk into the room, you are greeted by a huge fireplace stocked with all the firewood, kindling, paper, matches and instructions on building the perfect romantic fire. I wish I had more time to stay.

We Had a great time and everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The chalet was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We will definitely recommend you to any friends or family we have going out your way.
Thanks again,

This is just the kind of place we like, close and secluded. Although it snowed about 1meter everyday, the owner was out plowing to make sure guests could get in/out safely. We enjoyed the Bonfire, hot chocolate and smores! And some fresh baked cookies in the rec room when the power went out. Great sledding on the hill behind the resort. Definately want to bring your robe and flip flops to get to this pool (not as hot as the one on White Pass).Crystal Mtn is fantastic, looks brand new and nearly a ghost of a station (from Sierra perspective)--super first chair lift experience for my 6 year old.

This is a great place for a single family, but this is not the place for family reunions. It would have been an above average experience if the staff had not scared us off when we reserved and every time we called with a question saying that no outside guests were allowed. We had family we told not to make the trip up because of it and found out that the space and beds available were sufficient and that they allowed at extra charge for additional people to stay in their contract. Needless to say, this left a bad taste in our mouth about the place. We're looking into Mission Ridge for next time.

My husband and I had stayed at Alta before, years ago. We were excited to go back for a some quiet alone time away from the kids. We got in late so we just went to bed. When we awoke we had a chance to look at our pillows. One was covered in what seemed to be blood. We found the accommodations quaint, but not very clean. After check out, we found we were charged for a deep cleaning of the room. The staff told us we had "thrown up" all over the room, and had extra people in our room. My husband and I had spent the evening watching movies and getting some much needed rest! Our attempts at resolving this issue have met with little to no response from the staff or management. We will not be going back!!
