This hike was by far my favorite of our entire trip! We would not consider this an easy hike, as indicated on the trail placard. Took about an hour, I think. While the homestead was closed for repairs, we saw the old barn, hiked up to the old mill - which was amazing - and let the kids splash in the river a bit. This has big boulders to crawl over and is steep in parts - again, not what I would call easy. But it was amazing!! Definitely get the trail guide to read along with the trail markers. Couldn't imagine life back then, living on a mountain side, and it's something we will talk about with our kids for a long time! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
