We just returned from a trip to Grand Teton/Yellowstone. We started our trip with 3 nights at the Jenny Lake Lodge. It was just what my husband and I needed to unwind from our frenzied work schedule. The cabin is on the small side. But it was well appointed. Other reviewers claim that preferential treatment is given to returning guests. While we met many repeat customers, we felt just as pampered. I had also read that booking the horseback rides were a problem and we did not find this to be a problem at all. We checked in at 4pm and headed over to the corral and we were the first people to sign up for the 9AM ride the next day. On the second day, we were the only two riders, so it was like having a private guie.
Dinner was amazing. My husband is a picky eater, so I called Chef Josh beforehand, and he assured me that he would accomodate my husbands requests. I enjoyed all 5 courses nightly, while mu husband dined on his filet mignon and bake potato nightly! The dining staff excel at their job and surpass the service at some high end establishments where we have dined.
They also try and plan some type of activity for the evening. The first night that has Astronomy night, with (2) 14" telescopes and (2) people who have observatories to point out constellations and planets.
There are so many other places to see in this great USA, but if in the area, I would stay at Jenny Lake Lodge in a heartbeat!
