“Too brief a stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Booked 2 nights but only allowed to stay 1 due to shutdown of park. Would have loved to have explored property more. Friendly, outgoing staff. Impressive great room with wall to wall windows overlooking lake/Tetons, 2 fireplaces, couches and chairs, coffee stand, and piano. Had breakfast buffet in Mural room which was wonderful. Our cabin, located amid the evergreens, was spacious and well appointed.

We stayed one night here and really liked it! The staff was friendly, even gave us an upgrade when they heard we were on our honeymoon :) stayed in a big, clean lodge with nice big bed! Had an amazing dinner with an even better view! I could have stayed longer and next time we go to Teton we will stay here again!

We were amazed to discover that JLL was comparable to a 4 star resort in the wilderness.

The Lodge had a full wall of 40' foot windows that framed the gorgeous Teton mountain range. The dining room also had the same view as well as gourmet selections and delightful staff.

We stayed for four nights and it was difficult to leave. The staff was personable and very helpful. The variety of activities and ranger presentations provided something for all of us.

Cannot wait to return.

Recently booked a lodge cabin for four days as a resting period on our grand tour of the mountain west...Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton national parks. I have stayed in the Jackson Lake cabins before and sort of new what to expect. The "classic" cabin we rented was just that...a classic example of how not to upkeep a cabin. First of all they are small...two beds take up most of the room. Two very uncomfortable chairs are it for sitting. Carpet is filthy. Bathroom area is atrocious in its lack of cleanliness. Bath fixtures are broken and in dire need of replacement. Flip flops are absolutely mandatory unless you enjoy the pleasures of athlete's foot. Poor internet and no tv of course but both are available in the main lodge ,as I'm sure the lodge company wants to keep connected the likes of Dick Cheney and the various and sundry financial institutions that hold their annual meetings at this place. The public area of the lodge is still a national treasure as the huge picture window that frames Mt Moran is truly one of the great sites of the American parks system. The Pioneer room is the cheaper of the restaurants in the lodge and also the easiest in which to get seated...albeit my one time there around 9PM seemed to be the preferred dinner time of a wealthy stoner crowd...just saying The Mural room is a much better place to dine just beside the Pioneer room but also with the prerequisite higher prices. There is a sports bar of sorts that has a tv and fairly good food. Internet is all over the public area and like most places now everyone seemed to have an iphone or ipad. All and all Jackson Lake Lodge is still the best place to stay in the area even with the shabby cabins which is more than made up for by gorgeous natural scenery surrounding the lodge. But I have to say the place is beginning to give Lake Yellowstone hotel competition for being the shabbiest of the landmark national park system hotels..and of course the place is not cheap dollar wise either as you are charged for everything including the begging for $1 for the park system as you pay your $200 a night slum rent for your "classic" cabin.

Room Tip: Get a top room with a view of the mountains...cost $75 more but worth it...at least you have a view...

While looking over Groupon getaways-I ran across a great deal at the Jackson Lake Lodge and decided to book a 4 day stay. Wasn't sure what to expect but the lodge itself got glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. We didn't stay in the lodge but one of the cabins. Found them to be large, clean and the windows opened. We like to sleep with fresh air at night. Our cabin was down at the end and somewhat isolated and quiet. I couldn't believe how quiet and dark it got out there. Probably some of the best nights of sleep I've had in ages!
We enjoyed sitting out on the patio at night watching the wildlife. I do have a suggestion for the lodge-hire someone who can point out the different wildlife and have a spotting scope on site. A lot of people had no idea what they were looking at. Having the Tetons up close and personal was a great plus to this location.
The cafeteria probably had the best, more affordable food options but we found better dining at a neighboring lodge.

Room Tip: If you are staying in one of the cabins, ask for one at the farthest from the lodge.

We had a cabin with a fantastic view of the Tetons. There was a covered porch that was so peaceful to sit on with such a striking view. No tv, no internet. A beautiful place that will rest your soul. Great lobby. Decent food. If you are not a walker, ask for a closer cabin. Wonderful wildlife!

We stayed at the Jackson Lake Lodge mid-August, just as it was starting to cool off but with beautiful days. As a native Wyoming-ite, it was fun to see the whole world there (literally, guests from all over the world!) enjoying our beautiful Teton National Park. Views from the lodge and Mural Room restaurant are world class, and maybe only the Spring Creek Ranch above Jackson can begin to compare. JLL gives much better access to both Tetons and Yellowstone than anywhere in Jackson, though, if you're there for the parks and not for skiing or shopping.

We stayed in a cabin, about eight minute's walk from the lodge. It was clean enough, no AC (muggy during the day), noisy fans, some hairs on the sheets. For the $200+/night they normally charge, you'll feel the cabins should cost $55/night if not for the location. But relative to lodging in and around Jackson, it's okay value. You can't do much better for that time of year.

Having done it once, I don't need to go back. However for folks with limited mobility (I'm thinking of my in-laws) it could be a great spot to enjoy the beauty of the Tetons if you can't go climb one, and you won't get a better location for the national parks. If you're budgeted to do anything but camp in the area, JLL is worth a few nights.

Room Tip: If you could get one, the lodge rooms with a view are probably worth the up-charge. Cabins offer li...
