“Very Basic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013 via mobile

This is very basic lodging.. We were given one of the rooms in the lodges off the main building sites... The park accessible by car. Try to stay near Bright Angel or El Tovar with rooms on the rim..it's worth the money.

“Overpriced but you are on the Canyon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We stayed here on our trip through America. With Yosemite this was the most expensive place we stayed and I have to say not as good as most other, cheaper motels. The room was clean, tidy and warm with the usual 2 beds. It's location right in the park and only 5 minutes walk from the Southern Rim by Bright Angel was good. Access to the other trails along the rim was also easy. Overall it was over priced but you have to pay for the location.

“Basic accommodation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

We drove from vegas, it can be tough to locate after sunset. Basic room with noisy heater, sounds like fan was on full whack.

Pity the rooms had no wifi. Had to walk 5 mins to main building for wifi and water.

Excellent location in the park.

“Clean, convenient and inexpensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

This is a great place to stay if you want to stay in Grand Canyon Village on a budget. The staff were very welcoming at check-in and couldnt do enough to make your stay enjoyable.

The rooms are reasonably basic, but they are clean and comfortable, and given the price, they are more than adequate. The cafeteria was nice and offered a a wide range of cuisine for breakfast and dinner, and they have a nice little pizza pub if you want to partake of an evening tipple. They have quite a big gift shop on-site which stocks any kind of souvenir you might be looking for.

Most importantly, the hotel is a 3 minute walk from the south rim of the Grand Canyon. You just cant ask for a more convenient location at that price. I would have no hesitation going back to Maswik Lodge.

“In the village”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We stayed one night, and the place is great because it is in the village. Too cold when we were there to walk anywhere. The room was tidy, did what it needed to do, as in daylight we were out looking at the wonders of the world outside.
Motel room near the canyon. It was not far to drive to see sunset/rise.
