We stayed in a basic double cabin at the back of the Bright Angel group. The cabins are around 80 years old. They are quaint, warm and very comfortable. Ours had a queen bed, ensuite, bar fridge, coffee maker, TV and desk. It was all that we needed. It was only a one minute walk to the rim and after all the day trippers left we were able to park our car right outside the cabin. Due to the age of the cabins and the fact that they are wooden, some noise does travel between rooms that are in cabins that have connecting rooms. This didn't affect our stay though. If you want Canyon views book a suite, more expensive but would be worth it. Our cabin had elk "mooing" outside at night and when we got up to see the sunrise they were grazing around the area.
