“Flagstaff Grand Canyon Day Tour - AWESOME!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Based on previous reviews, we booked a Grand Canyon tour with All-Star Grand Canyon Tours and were not disappointed!! Our guide, Jason, was friendly, educational, entertaining, and did a great job showing us all of the sites for the day. On our way to/from the Grand Canyon, he talked about the trees & plants, the ski resort, what it's like living in Flagstaff, the mountains, the painted dessert, the volcano's, the wildlife, etc. The Grand Canyon was amazing and Jason continued to educate us and to show the group the best views in the park, often using a telescope to show us the sites in more detail (hikers, mules, lodge, etc.). He encouraged questions and gave us plenty of time to look around, take pictures, and even do a little shopping.

The tour also included snacks, drinks and lunch - awesome sandwiches, salads, fruit, chips, cookies, etc. We were certainly well taken care of for the entire day.

At the conclusion of our tour, Jason gave us ideas for other activites that we could do in the area: Lowell Observatory, dinner options, Red Mountain Trail, Sedona, Meteor Crater, Page, and Oak Creek Canyon Scenic Drive (89A), to name a few.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

We had the tour booked and can only rave about it!!! It was worth every cent and we enjoyed our tour guide, Molly, who was VERY knowledgable and accomodating throughout the whole day! I can only recommend this tour Company! They were also so helpful before our trip with tips and ideas. Just great!!! One feels like "one of the Family" by the time they pick you up at your hotel for the tour!!!

“Fantastic Day, Great guide, Excellent food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013 via mobile

Jason was our guide for the day. We left from Flagstaff and had a small group in the minibus and introductions to all made us feel at ease. On our journey there Jason spoke all the way pointing out everything he knew about all subjects like trees, plants, wildlife, volcano's and the history of the area.
On arrival at the Grand Canyon we started off at one of the viewpoints. Amazing! Jason set up a telescope and pointed out various parts of the canyon and also people in the distance on mules that we otherwise wouldn't have seen. We had time to walk around and take photo's. We could freely ask questions and if Jason didn't know the answer he found out as soon as he could for us. We followed various view points along the south rim. Each one had its own appeal. We had a picnic lunch freshly prepared by a local restaurant Brandy's. Wow! were we surprised. Excellent food and real tableware too!
We had plenty time to view more of this Wonder of the World. As we made our way back into Flagstaff, Jason recommended some of the nicest places to dine. Jason had a great sense of humour and plenty of stories to tell making the day really enjoyable. I would highly recommend this All Star tour.

“Terrific introductory overview of an overwhelming attraction!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

My partner and I just completed a week's stay in Arizona and couldn't fathom planning our first visit to the Grand Canyon on our own. So we booked with All-Star and found our full-day tour to be amazingly comprehensive and informative, as well as a pleasant departure from the crowds we were forewarned to expect at this particular national park. Within minutes of being picked up at our Flagstaff hotel, our tour guide, Derik Rayhorn, had us and everyone else aboard the comfortable 10-passenger vehicle enthralled with educational and anecdotal narratives about the region and its natural history. Upon arrival at the park, we were whisked beyond the touristy viewpoints to our first overwhelming vista of the Canyon, which was breathtaking. Derik enhanced our perspective with a professional-grade telescope which he brought along so that all of us could distinguish landmarks and formations in the distance--that was a treat. Speaking of treats, the lunch that was supplied included delicious sandwiches and salads on a picnic table complete with table linens, plates, and flatware! It was a real experience to dine al fresco in a quiet pine grove at the Grand Canyon! As the tour progressed, we stopped at spectacular locations that were off the beaten path, which some in our group admitted they'd never seen on previous visits. Derik was extremely accommodating of our photo attempts and offered at several locations to take individual photos of each party in our tour--a much appreciated gesture which gave us a few wonderful shots of my partner and I together on the tour. We were dropped off at our hotel in time for dinner and never regretted leaving our car parked there for the day, considering all the other driving we'd been doing on our trip. To top off our decision, the hotel had arranged a discount for our room since we'd booked a tour with All-Star-- all in all a great decision to go with All-Star!
