I made my reservations in April for a June trip to the Grand Canyon. This campground could only book me for half of our stay but the time we were there was great. It would be nicer if there were shower facilities in the Trailer Village park but the walk to the Mathers Campground was within reason and didn't put us out much. The campground is close to stores and a resort lodge making it easy to stock your pantry for cooking at your trailer if that is what you want. There are also places to eat in the same area and shuttle buses to take you to the main village for more choices. Seeing the grand canyon blurrs anything I might have thought was inconvenient at the time. This is an excellent place and if we could get the government to support the national parks, even showers wouldn't be a problem. If you have the chance to visit this area, This is a great place to stay, don't miss it.
