“A New Find for us at the Grand Canyon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

For years we have enjoyed the food at the Maswik Lodge Cafeteria, but never ventured into the lounge (now called a pizza pub)-a room just off the cafeteria-until our last visit. We were very hungry so placed an order for the garlic bread sticks assuming that would come faster than the pizza. They were made to order and were hot out of the oven when we got them. The sticks were absolutely delicious- fairly thin, hot and soft and lightly topped with garlic butter as well as served with a small cup of soft garlic butter. We saw how large the whole pizzas were and also not all wanting the same kind, we opted for individual slices. Two of the slices were already made, but they had to make one of the others fresh. They all were great-fresh crust, not too much sauce and good toppings. Three of us split the order of bread sticks, so after I ate my slice of pizza I was still a little hungry and ordered more bread sticks. No one else minded helping me eat them. While the cafeteria food is excellent, this gives you a good option if you feel like pizza.

“Good cafeteria food at reasonable prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Maswik cafeteria provides a wide variety of food choices for breakfast, lunch, or dinner for very reasonable prices. We were most impressed that the breakfast offerings were made fresh right in front of you. Dinner can be southwestern, pizza, or a full meal all of which are very tasty. A great choice for eating along the rim of the canyon.

“pretty good for cafeteria food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

better than what we were expecting for cafeteria food. lunch at the Maswik was included in our package. We were pleasantly surprice that it was pretty darn good for cafeteria food. We probably would not have tried it if it was not part of the package. So if you are looking for a decent meal at a decent price at the Canyon, this is better than most. Much better than the Arizona Room at Bright Angels but not as good at the El Tovar.

“Best Pizza at the Pizza Pub Brick Oven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

We were staying at the El Tovar and were looking for a less pricey more casual dinner than the dining room. My husband happened upon the Pizza Pub back in a corner by itself at the Maswik Lodge Cafeteria. There is pizza by the slice or a large sized pizza available. It is made from scratch and is baked in a brick oven. The crust is tremendous and some of the best pizza that we've had. We highly recommend stopping in if you are craving pizza. The Buffalo chicken wings looked very good also & seemed to be a popular order. We each ordered a salad and one salad to split between the two of us would have sufficed.

“Fast, convenient, affordable, good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We stay at Maswik before our hikes into the Grand Canyon every winter (Jan-Feb). We have dinner and breakfast there. There are many options for both meals. The food ranges from healthy to typical fast food.

Dinner/lunch options include southwest, Asian, Italian, American fare. They have a brick oven pizza parlor, too.

Prices are affordable. Great for families and large groups.
