“Amazing views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Flew over it, would advise this very much despite the costs. It gives a good view of the canyon!
Driving through the parks gives less spectacular views, though it's still worth going.

“Time travel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

To stand at the edge and to wonder all around you. The colors of the mountains, the blue sky, the light and the magic shadows that dance around the canyon walls. To see the power that water and wind can create for millions of years. As you stand there you hear the distant call of the eagle flying above you. If you close your eyes for a moment you can hear natures music playing all around you.

On your way to the Grand Canyon there are several native American Indians selling the crafts. Stopping will immerse yourself in a culture that has stood the test of making a living in the high desert plateau. It is there that you can see the kind of material that the mighty Colorado river used to mold and carve the mighty Grand Canyon.

“wow.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Went with my family on a quick stop over (after a 7 hr drive)....completely worth the drive...it was beautiful, the air breeze was warm and energizing.
Cant wait to go back and actually camp out. Trough out the drive to the rim we saw various deer and other wildlife, my kids where all "ohs and aws".
Tip : you do have to pay an entrance fee...they take cash and cards :)
Also they have gift shops with crafty and nice stuff.

“Breathtaking!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

My husband and I have done the same tour of the South Rim about 5 times now....because we just have to take every new friend or family member that has never seen it and we never tire of it. We park at the Yavapai Point parking lot. Then we walk west on the rim trail along the canyon to the Bright Angel Lodge area (about 1.5 miles...but easy). Then, we get on the bus and stop hop to Hermit's Rest and back to the Yavapai Point parking area. Then, we drive out the East Entrance making all the view and attraction sites along the way. It's a very full day but so fun and so worth it!
