Coming through the park's southern-most entrance, we stopped by the visitor's center to ask which trail would allow us to make the most of the hour we could afford to spend in Everglades Nat' Park. Anhinga Trail was the answer - "If you don't see an alligator, come back and we'll refund your money," the ranger joked.
The trail was close to the park entry and true to the ranger's word, we saw gators. Altogether, we spotted a handful of turtles, at least five different species of birds, and around a dozen fully-grown alligators. Definitely a highlight of our entire southern Florida trip!
