I've been to a lot of national parks in my life and was very disappointed that we drove all the way up to the Denali National Park for this. The visitor's center sounds like some liberal tree hugger put the entire thing together and that humans are doing everything they can to destroy the environment. To add insult to injury you can only drive your vehicle into mile marker 15 of the park then you have to get on one of their 30 year old looking school buses to spend 8-10 hours on the one road into the park to see the wildlife. The park service restricts the use of this park terribly. Unless you are over 70 I would recommend skipping this part of the vacation. You will be disappointed. I'm told that there is a lot of wildlife along the one road but felt like it would be more of a zoo experience than a wildlife viewing adventure.
I can't believe with the park being over 6 million acres that you are limited to one road that is about 92 miles long that you can't explore yourself.
