“Good food, atmosphere and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Our group enjoyed our meal thoroughly. Large portions, each couple shared a sandwich and an appetizer and still had leftovers.A much better choice than the hotels. The staff was excellent and the decor very historically accurate.

“Great Food; Kitschy Decor; Great Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

The food here is very good, and the building itself is quite interesting - it slants to one side and is decorated in old adverting signs. The bison chili is delicious as is the cod; prices are good for the area.

“good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

I had the halibut and chips and it was quite good. I ate at the bar, and the bartender was pleasant, they had decent beer choices and the food was good.

“Quircky, fun, good, accommodating.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

We spent a long day hiking and neede a meal. This place was close and was recommended byt the rangers in Denali. The halibut, Salmon and Reindeer susage was great. The place looks a bit primitive but that just ads to the atmosphere. The weather raises havoc on things up there so the buildings are alive and moving constantly. We loved the fact that nothing was level, the floor creaked and the tables wobbled. We rented a cabin here when a member of our party got hurt and enjoyed the accommodations (also tilted so don't roll over in bed too much). We ate breakfast here as well and loved the cook shack where you went to get your sourdough pancakes (also thicker on one side than the other.) Tried the birch and spruce syrups too.
