I stayed in a female dorm. The bunks were clearly tailor made for the room and were extremely comfortable and not creaky at all. The linens were clean. The bathroom was clean and there was only one short occasion when I had to wait (I could have accessed some other bathrooms elsewhere if I had really needed to). The kitchen is reasonably well stocked with equipment and the communal areas were conducive to people sitting around and chatting about their various adventures. There were also some cabins and fixed tents, which I did not see inside. The river is right next to the hostel and you can have a fire in the fire pit in the evenings. There had been a recent explosion in the mosquito population, so I tended to have to dash from building to vehicle, rather than enjoying the river. Perhaps later in the season, this would be less of a problem. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay and the shuttle bus to the park was very handy indeed. There is a café (great baked goods) and a pizzeria just across the road.
