We went to Denali in late May, so the road was only open to the Toklat River. However, we saw SO much wildlife on our bus ride! Grizzly bears, Dall Sheep, mountain goats, horned owls, caribou, snow shoe hares, lots of birds. We also got off the bus and hiked around the park a little. The trip was fantastic despite the snow showers! You must take the bus into the park as we got to see so much more wildlife deeper into the park.
