“Wow what colors!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

A beautiful scenic point with amazing colors. The hills and mountains show off the mineral deposits by changing colors like on an artists color wheel.

“Even a true artist would have a hard time coming with such a palette!!”

What a perfect pastel palette! Just mesmerized and fascinated by the whole mountain of harmonious soft pastel colors in this beautiful place.

“Gorgeous drive!”

Such a variety of colors to be observed.... if you can only spend one day at the Park - do make this part of that time.

“If you go to DV be sure and see the Artist's Palette”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

We visited Artists Palette on 2/20 and 21. The first day we went at sunset and found the colors pretty muted. The second day (around noon) they were much more vibrant. As you drive up Artists drive , you'll find a popular pull over and short hike to anover look near the beginning, I'd recommend skipping it and driving on to the palette viewing area. It isn't bad but it is just OK, where as the palette is pretty amazing. The paved raod is an easy drive and with stops takes 1 to 1.5 hours. A straight drive through would only take 1/2 an hour or so.

“Amazing colors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

We really liked that place - even if we saw many cool places in SouthWest with magical colors the Artist's palette looked very impressive! Hiking short trails there added to experience. he combination of green and purple colors is amazing. Not to miss place!
