“Worth seeing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

My friend and I took the drive South from Furnace Creek about 8 miles to the entrance of Artists Drive. It's a one way drive and is very interesting and beautiful rock colors, well worth seeing.

“OMG You HAVE to go there if you have a motorcycle!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

This ride was just the beginning of an amazing motorcycle tour. Absolutely incredible! Loved the twists and turns, the rainbow colours of the rocks. Would go again if we are ever in Death Valley. It's a MUST see!

“Take the loop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

If your vehicle can make the turns, make sure you do not miss this loop. Go south first and see all the other sights, then take the loop on your way back towards Furnace Creek. The colors are fantastic and worth the drive.

“Artist's Drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

Artist's Drive is a short 9 mile loop that traverse through a narrow canyon. Along the road you will see amazing colorful formation of rocks. At some locations they will remind you of an artist's palette. If you are a photographer, the best time to visit Artist's Drive and view the Artist's Palette marked spots is in the late afternoon hours. The The road is one way and starts at Badwater Road. Verify the restrictions on vehicle size. Large trailers or buses may not be able to pass through or make the sharp turns.

“Nice Drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Interesting to drive through this area--don't be afraid to get out of the car and hike around a bit. This is very nice in the late afternoon when the sun hits the hills at an angle (as opposed to directly overhead). Definitely a neat little drive.
