We were staying at the Furnace Creek Ranch during our visit to Death Valley and wanted to have a little bite in the evening. As there is basically only 3 food places to choose from, all of which seem to have bad reviews, I was a bit worried. We ended up going to the Corkscrew Saloon in the end, which is (as you might have figured from the name) more of a bar than a restaurant. This didn't really bother me, sure most of the people were there to have a beer and watch the basketball game that was on, but that only meant that the waitress had more time for us. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken and my boyfriend went for the Tri-Angus burger, both came with fries and were good for bar food. I do not think they were that overpriced either. Not a gourmet meal but that was hardly what was to be expected in a place like Death Valley.
