“Original”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

This is in the middle of Death Valley, so we were expecting something basic, far from it. Our room at the Ranch Resort was lovely - clean, well equipped with a nice bathroom and a balcony overlooking the golf course complete with a couple of rocking chairs. Excellent facilities - well stocked, reasonably priced shop, laundry etc. We ate in the diner, it was busy early in the evening, so we ate a little later - service was superb and food was well priced.
Fantastic location complete with a small historical museum, well worth a visit.

“Great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Stayed at Furnace Crrek Ranch as part of a group photography workshop in Death Valley. The location could not be better, since it's relatively close to a lot of Death Valley sites. But DV is such a big place that you will still drive to get anywhere. Rooms were clean but kind of spartan. Electrical outlets are poorly located, which makes it difficult to plug things in or charge electronic devices. Employees were friendly, except the front desk staff seemed a bit befuddled with our group. Nice pool that is heated by a natural spring. Several restaurants are on the property. This place would never make it in a location with more competition, but management doesn't need to worry about that because of the lack of options in the area.

“Great golfing time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Had a great experience for four days in early November. Course was in great shape, and the staff was very helpful at the resort. (Different place than the Inn) our first time there. Played in a team tournament on a Saturday and Sunday. Met lots of great people. Two hour drive from Vegas. Lots of history in the area. Would definitely go back.

“One night stay at the Ranch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

The Ranch and the Inn are two different places about half a mile apart. We stayed in one of the cabins at the ranch on our trip from Vegas to San Fransisco. The rooms were clean and fresh and the staff friendly. The shop and restaurants are a bit pricey so bring your own if you are on a budget. No bath in our room just toilet sink and shower but that suited us. Very well placed for day trips around death valley. We plan on spending more time in death valley next time we visit and will deff stay here again.

Room Tip: Take your owen drink and food if on a budget

“Historic Inn in Death Valley”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012 via mobile

We stayed at the Furnace Creek Inn in early November and had an ice time. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony that was great for sitting out and having coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. It offers a great view of Death Valley and the Panamint mountains to the west. The rooms have had some update, are comfortable and come with flat screen TVs and cable. There is also free wifi. Our first room had a problem with the toilet but they quickly moved us to another. The hotel was built in 1927 so that's not unexpected and the historic nature and decor is part of the charm. The grounds are a lush oasis in the desert with 90 year old African date palms. We ate in the restaurant a lot and the food is good with full bar service. If I go back to Death Valley I would stay there again as there is no nicer or more historic place than this.
