This is in the middle of Death Valley, so we were expecting something basic, far from it. Our room at the Ranch Resort was lovely - clean, well equipped with a nice bathroom and a balcony overlooking the golf course complete with a couple of rocking chairs. Excellent facilities - well stocked, reasonably priced shop, laundry etc. We ate in the diner, it was busy early in the evening, so we ate a little later - service was superb and food was well priced.
Fantastic location complete with a small historical museum, well worth a visit.

Stayed at Furnace Crrek Ranch as part of a group photography workshop in Death Valley. The location could not be better, since it's relatively close to a lot of Death Valley sites. But DV is such a big place that you will still drive to get anywhere. Rooms were clean but kind of spartan. Electrical outlets are poorly located, which makes it difficult to plug things in or charge electronic devices. Employees were friendly, except the front desk staff seemed a bit befuddled with our group. Nice pool that is heated by a natural spring. Several restaurants are on the property. This place would never make it in a location with more competition, but management doesn't need to worry about that because of the lack of options in the area.

Had a great experience for four days in early November. Course was in great shape, and the staff was very helpful at the resort. (Different place than the Inn) our first time there. Played in a team tournament on a Saturday and Sunday. Met lots of great people. Two hour drive from Vegas. Lots of history in the area. Would definitely go back.

The Ranch and the Inn are two different places about half a mile apart. We stayed in one of the cabins at the ranch on our trip from Vegas to San Fransisco. The rooms were clean and fresh and the staff friendly. The shop and restaurants are a bit pricey so bring your own if you are on a budget. No bath in our room just toilet sink and shower but that suited us. Very well placed for day trips around death valley. We plan on spending more time in death valley next time we visit and will deff stay here again.

Room Tip: Take your owen drink and food if on a budget

We stayed at the Furnace Creek Inn in early November and had an ice time. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony that was great for sitting out and having coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. It offers a great view of Death Valley and the Panamint mountains to the west. The rooms have had some update, are comfortable and come with flat screen TVs and cable. There is also free wifi. Our first room had a problem with the toilet but they quickly moved us to another. The hotel was built in 1927 so that's not unexpected and the historic nature and decor is part of the charm. The grounds are a lush oasis in the desert with 90 year old African date palms. We ate in the restaurant a lot and the food is good with full bar service. If I go back to Death Valley I would stay there again as there is no nicer or more historic place than this.

We stayed here as a stop over on our road trip from San Fran to LA (this was the Yosemite to Vegas part).

It was comforting to see the hotel after driving for what felt like hours, through interesting but overall very samey landscape, navigating twists and turns through the mountains.

It was very cute and theme park like to stay at the ranch, with ye olde ranch bars and restaurants dotted around. The room was fine though the corridors do make you feel like you're in a college dorm and with an adjoining door to the next room plus thin walls, we could hear everything in the next room (would not recommend staying here on honeymoon lol).

The amenities were fine, the pool was good and the mini golf and tennis courts looked good. You are limited in Death Valley as to where you can eat etc as there are only a few options and although we were recommended to go to the Inn, we decided to stay at the Ranch. Service in the bar was fine enough as were the drinks and meal.

I do agree with some other reviews that it's a little expensive overall and that they have you as a captive audience, as there are few other options, but it was sweet and i'd recommend it for a on night stay over, 2 nights max.

Room Tip: Maybe an end room and one without and adjoining room door to cut down on noise heard from next door

We travelled to Furnace Creek from Los Angeles and initially arrived at the Furnace Creek Inn before being told we needed to travel another mile down the road to the Furnace Creek Ranch. This certainly isn't a 5* hotel and the rooms are set out in blocks quite spaced out in the resort area, however for the area this offered a good standard of accommodation in a great location. The rooms and accommodation are not particularly modern and this shows in the room quality and also the corridor area but none the less it was comfortable, although the air conditioning is quite noisy being of the wall mounted type. WiFi is available free of charge in the rooms although was quite slow.

We ate breakfast on both days of our stay in the 49er café and also had an evening meal here and in the Saloon next door, both were of a good standard and priced reasonably given this is the only location in the area.

We had an excellent time in the death valley area and this is the best choice for a stay in the area.
