beautiful views, amazing accessible hikes, great place for an adventure. Only saw two other people in the needles area so had the whole place to ourselves. Awesome!

“Beautiful, HUGE park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We only went to Mesa Arch for the sunrise since we didn't have much time in Moab. The park was incredible from what we seen. Can't wait to go back and explore more!

“Red Dead Redemption lives!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

My son recognised pictures of Canyonlands on the net as the backdrop to a PS 3 game. But nothing could have prepared us for the incredible views from Grand View Point - absolutely amazing especially with snow on the ground. As good as the Grand Canyon, and so unexpected ( and deserted ). Definitely worth the drive.

“Beautiful Views, But Mainly Backcountry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Casual travelers can drive through Canyonlands and enjoy the beautiful scenery in a few hours. To get the full-measure of this under-used NP, you have to get backcountry either by rafting, Jeep tours, or serious hiking/camping. We were on the tail end of our vacation and opted for the former - well worth it to see the vast views and the geologic difference between Canyonlands and Arches.

“Nice views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Went to the island in the sky section in January. It was very cold, -11. Mesa arch was well worth the visit by itself. The views are beautiful. Not as photogenic as Arches. Like all other areas here it is sunrise or sunset photography
