We only managed to fit in one part of Canyonlands. It is vast and there is no easy way to get between the 3 main areas. We visited Islands in the Sky which is excellent and gives you a great appreciation of the landscape from above. It is a bit of a drive from Moab but worth it. You can fit in most of the sights and shorter hikes in a day. The hikes are mostly level, along the rim but there a couple which involve some slick rock walking and exposure, but if you do them all you will end up walking more than 10 miles during the day in total. If you fancy something a bit more adventurous you can hike down into the valley and the backcountry or get a permit to drive the White Rim Road - 50 miles of rough dirt track (high clearance 4x4 essential) which apparently needs 2 days to do. You can see most of it from the rim and it looks fun!
