“Excellent soup, but average pies”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We were pleasantly surprised by the "cowboy" restaurant. We had the elk burger and fish and chips, which were average. But the vegetable soup and the split pea soups were outstanding. The restaurant advertises its pies as a hallmark. We found the one we had, blueberry, to be only average.

“Best pie ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013 via mobile

Thanks tripadvisor for leading us right again. We stayed at Ruby's but after reading restaurant reviews we chose to drive to Bryce Canyon Pines for dinner(maybe 5 miles) The corn chowder was good, his meat loaf sandwich was good too, BUT oh the pies. I chose banana strawberry cream and he had boysenberry. Both were great and total cost was $30.00 which is great in Bryce area.

“Wish we'd found this restaurant sooner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

We noticed this restaurant always had cars in front of it and took that as a good sign. Then a local recommended it after we complained about the food at Ruby's Inn. We decided to try it and were glad we did. The food is very good. The evening staff has a few bugs to work out in their service but the daytime staff is exceptional! This is the first time in my life I've ever left a 75% tip but the waitress was worth every penny. The multi-grain pancakes I had for one breakfast may have been the best pancakes I've ever had. The restaurant is known for their soups and pie so I tried that for dinner one night - great choice! The soup was very tasty and the chocolate cream pie was decadent!

“Pies are great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

We ate dinner here while visiting Bryce. The boysenberry pie is excellent. Ordered the soup as well but it was just average. The chicken wings were also very good. Miss those pies!

“Soup & pies, oh so yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

We were only in the Bryce Canyon area for a couple of days, but we all wished we found this place sooner! We went there after hiking in Bryce Canyon and the soup and sandwiches we had were delicious. We were all full from our lunch and couldn't eat another bite right then so we took 4 slices of pie (all different so we could sample) back to our cabin for dessert later. They were fantastic! I don't know which one I liked best, the banana blueberry cream, lemon cream or coconut cream! We went back for breakfast the next morning on our way out of the area and had a delicious meal again. Shawna our server was wonderful. We even recommended the place to other tourists we bumped into at Zion National Park that were heading to Bryce the next day.
