“Arches National Park, Moab Utah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

This Park is an absolute must see if you are visting the Moab, Provo or Even Salt Lake City Area. We awoke to about 7 inches of new snow that morning in Park City Utah and ended the day in Moab where the temps were pushing 90. There are so many beautiful places in that area to see, Dead Horse Canyon is a must as well.

“Delicate Arch amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

We did the Delicate Arch hike w/ our 6 & 10 yr old. It was our 1st big hike together & it was tough but well worth it. Our 10-yr-old was awesome, climbing on everything & really enjoyed it. It was hard for our little one, she trooped, but it was a little frustrating. She's now glad she did it, but there was lots of whining! ( :

“Wish we'd had more time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

We stopped at Arches en route to California with our family for Spring Break. We only spent a couple of hours there and wished that we'd had time to spend longer. It was incredible to see so many different amazing arches all within such a close distance to one another. The weather was nice for us when we were there at the end of March. (Jeans and short sleeves were fine.) But later that night, as we pressed west toward our destination for the night, we ran right into a freaky blizzard, making for very scary driving conditions. So be prepared as far as weather that can change on a dime.

We did not have time to hike all the way out to Delicate Arch (the most famous one you see all the time), but you can take a very short hike to a viewing area where you can see it off in the distance. Since we were short on time, we opted for that and called it good enough. Another time it would be nice to hike all the way there though.

“Not to be missed in Utah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

This park is fantastic- lots of easily accessible arches and other stone formations, and many options for hikes, rewarded by hidden arches, sandstone fins, beautiful views. Take the advice to carry sufficient water seriously, and wear a hat, as many of the hikes are in the open, over rocky surfaces. If you want to take the ranger-led (only) hike into the Fiery Furnace area, which is probably the best long hike in hot weather because there is shade, you need to plan months ahead in busy season and reserve online.

“Step Back in Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

For those of you new to the south west this is a must see!
Arches provides a glimpse into the geology of the 4 corners area. Around every corner you expect to see a cowboy shoot out, wagon train rolling through, or dinosaur. It is like stepping back in time or straight into some John Wayne Wild West movie.
The rangers all all passionate about their jobs. They are all a wealth of knowledge. In the evenings and all through the days there are guided hikes, informative talks, and even children's programs that add a depth to the whole experience of this area.
If you plan to come to Utah, Arches is a must see! Just keep your imagination active!
